It’s the Season of Change for Helmsley Outdoors!
Meet Sarah, the new owner of Helmsley Outdoors. Sarah has previously been extremely successful in the pub trade; she won Pub of the Year and other awards for her cooking. She then went into teaching, but it was after Covid that Sarah realised it was time for a change in direction. She saw the potential that Helmsley Outdoors had and despite having no background in outdoors, decided to take the plunge and go for it.
So far, Sarah has had a very warm welcome from the locals and has lots of new ideas for the shop including developing the children’s department. She wants to put her own spin on the shop after taking over from previous owner, Phil. Sarah feels she is carrying the torch for Phil and has taken on a business which Phil built up from nothing, into the success that it is today. She describes buying the shop as the “best thing [she has] ever done!”, despite selling her house to do so!
We wish Sarah the very best in her new venture and look forward to seeing how she puts her own stamp on Helmsley Outdoors!
