Pop Up Shop for York Cancer Charity
Local cancer charity York Against Cancer, has opened a Christmas ‘pop up’ shop at 12 Pavement.
In recent years the charity has operated this kind of venture at various locations around the city during the run up to Christmas, with great success.
York Conservation Trust along with Barry Crux & Company have helped the charity by letting them use some of their properties for this purpose, free of charge.
The shop this time is in a prominent location, opposite Marks and Spencer on Pavement. “We’ve found a number of charity shops for York Against Cancer over the years, and this one could be the best yet,“said Rosie Crux, Chartered Surveyor from Barry Crux & Co.
The shop sells a range of greetings cards, brand new merchandise only from brands such as Emma Bridgewater, Rachel Ellen and Emma Ball.
The shop is open from Wednesday to Saturday, from 10am to 5.30pm and Sunday from 11am to 4pm until Thursday, 21 December.
