Sale of City Centre Tea Rooms
Barry Crux & Company is pleased to announce completion of the sale of Little Shambles Tearooms and Coffee House.
The tearooms occupy characterful Grade II listed premises over three floors and are situated on Little Shambles which connects Shambles to Shambles Market, one of the busiest areas in York city centre with shoppers and tourists alike.
Little Shambles Tearooms and Coffee House has been established for many years and the business has been traded successfully by the vendors in its current format for over 12 years. Having decided to take a well-earned semi-retirement, the business was placed on the market by the vendor last year.
Rosie Crux, Chartered Surveyor and Director of Barry Crux & Company, said “The sale of this business demonstrates a continued interest from purchasers for cafes and tea rooms in York City Centre. The City benefits from an eclectic mix of independent businesses such as this and shows a great diversity.”
Alison Munro, Associate Solicitor at Guest Walker Limited who acted for the seller said, “Being based on Shambles ourselves it was great to be able to use our local knowledge and expertise to assist with the sale of this established business”.
The business and lease was sold off an asking price of £60,000.
