Sale of North York Moors Inn
Acting on instructions from Administrators Begbies Traynor, Barry Crux & Company is pleased to confirm completion of the sale of White Horse Farm Inn, Pickering.
The long and well-established hotel is situated in Rosedale Abbey in the heart of the North Yorkshire Moors.
The hotel sits within a large site and offers 11 well-appointed en-suite letting bedrooms, two restaurant areas with 46 covers, lounge bars, 3 bed proprietor’s/manager’s accommodation, a 2/3 bedroom holiday cottage and additional staff accommodation.
The property and business has been purchased by Phil Haxby, Nigel Haxby and Peter Scholey whose other business interests include Doncaster based Wilfreda Luxury Coaches Limited. It was sold off an asking price of £695,000.
Joint administrator Rob Sadler commented: “We are pleased to see such a positive outcome – not only has the sale secured the jobs of the remaining nine staff, it has also provided the best possible return for creditors. It is good to see this historic inn which enjoys an idyllic location, continuing to serve locals and visitors to the area and we are confident that the purchasers will be able to re-establish it as a thriving business.”
We wish the new owners every success with their new venture.
